Retailers incur heavy losses due to inventory inaccuracies and are unable to scan inventory more frequently due to high labor costs involved in manual scans. Zone24x7 Robotics and Automation team built an autonomous mobile robot for automated inventory capture.
Every day, the robot scans RFID tagged products and estimates their locations. During a 10-month field test, the robot helped to reduce in-store order cancellations by 60% and reduced labor hours on inventory scan by 90%.
Towards the synchronized store
The company has also diligently worked towards creating better in-store customer experiences. Its embedded systems and enterprise software team designed and built a modern self-service kiosk system delivering convenience at the fingertips of the shopper.
