Ancon – A Sweden based restaurant POS solutions provider powered by Sri Lankan Talent

Having experienced rapid growth in Sweden, Ancon wanted to expand further but was limited by the availability of talent in terms of developers in Lysekil, where its software development team was based. The Company conducted research about developer talent and found Sri Lanka to be an ideal place to source talent; Sri Lanka was the standout choice amongst other regions such as Ukraine, Poland and India. After evaluating multiple choices Ancon decide to test out Calcey with a pilot project to build a mobile app.

Ancon’s CEO and CTO visited Calcey’s team in Sri Lanka to discuss this project and realized the benefits of a broader partner during this visit. So much so that they decided to establish a full-scale partnership with Calcey Technologies, setting up an extended development team to complement their in-house developers, and have this team build Ancon’s entire new product.
