Request for Expressions of Interest from ICT/BPM Companies for Participation in CeBIT Australia 2019

The Context

ICT/BPM exports ranked as the 5th largest export revenue earner of the country and had an upward growth over the past ten years. Through a specialized program, the Government of the Democratic Socialist Republic of Sri Lanka (GoSL) is looking to significantly bolster the capabilities of this sector by 2022. This program is a culmination of multiple programs that stemmed from National Export Strategy (NES), ICTA and SLASSCOM recommendations and the 2018 National Budget. As such, the GoSL has made a provision of LKR 3 billion to generate USD 5 billion through ICT/BPM industry exports by 2022.

Program Background

As part of this national program, the Sectoral Expert in collaboration with EDB will be assisting ICT/BPM companies in enrolling and participating in CeBIT Australia 2019 (www.cebit.com.au).

The EDB will provide a constructed booth, mission specific digital marketing, and organize a networking event for companies participating in the above event. The cost of airfare, hotel accommodation, expenses, and visa fees, will have to be borne by the participating companies.

Program Reach With more than 15,000 attendees expected this year, CeBIT is a globally renowned expo with an international audience – providing a number of opportunities for Sri Lankan companies looking to exhibit at the event. CeBIT Expos take place around the world and are a renowned event for promoting current and future technologies.
Key Technologies and Topics CeBIT covers globally trending key technologies and topics such as information security, cloud computing, artificial intelligence and the internet of things (IoT).
Focus on Key Application Areas As per a market study on Australia commissioned by SLASSCOM, cloud services and security services were discovered as key application areas in the Australian market. CeBIT covers both these application areas, providing opportunities for Sri Lankan companies specializing in these areas and exhibiting at the event.
